Built-in batteries mounted inside the chassis: the full installation tool set is included at no extra cost.
External removable batteries with a release latch: no tools needed, so none are included.
External batteries held by screws: a disassembly tool kit is still included.
Do I need to drain it fully before recharging?
Not at all. Every battery we sell is lithium-ion, not Ni-Cd, so there is no memory effect. What lithium-ion does not like is deep discharge — running the pack to empty repeatedly stresses the cells and shortens their life.

What is the right way to charge my replacement battery?

Skip the 12-hour first charge. Use it normally and let it cycle.
Top up when the level drops to 10%–20%, rather than waiting until it is dead.
Storing it long term? Recharge about once a month and keep it above 50%.
Charging while you work, or staying plugged in after 100%, will not hurt it.
